In the world that we live in, many would have us believe that there is no absolute truth. At Tri-Lakes Chapel, we believe that we can know truth. The following is a list of things that we believe to be absolutely true.
Trinity
We believe that the God of the Bible is the only true God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each of the members of the Trinity possesses all the attributes of Deity.
Salvation by Grace
We believe that a person comes into a personal relationship with God and is saved by his grace through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, God's only Son, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. His death and resurrection accomplishes salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in him alone.
Authority of the Bible
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, is without error, and has the right to command our beliefs and actions.
Humanity
We believe that all people are loved by God and were created to have fellowship with Him. But they defied God and sinfully went their own way. Therefore, all people need Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Personal God
We believe that God is involved in and cares about our daily lives. The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church.
Identity in Christ
We believe that a person is significant because of his or her position as a child of God.
Church
We believe that the church is a group of people that are committed to Christ and each other, and to the fulfillment of Christ's purpose for the church. The church is God's primary way of accomplishing his purposes on earth today; glorifying God and serving those in need.
Compassion
We believe that God calls Christ-followers to show compassion to those in need.
Eternity
We believe that there is a heaven and a hell and that Jesus will return to judge the earth and to establish his eternal kingdom.
Stewardship
We believe that everything a person owns belongs to God. Followers of Christ are expected to be good stewards of the possessions He has entrusted to them.
